The goal of this summit, for both our countries, is to examine the emergence of the data economy. The event brought together participants with highly diverse profiles: political figures, companies involved with the data sector, journalists, and more.
The conference featured:
- Matt Hancock, Minister of State for Digital at DCMS (UK)
- Axelle Lemaire, Minister of State for Digital Affairs and Innovation (France)
Many issues were raised during this event, entirely dedicated to data, including: - Questions related to data and industry
- The ethics of data
- Sectors using data
- Reinforcing data infrastructure in each country
For Dawex teams, the day was an occasion to meet taskforce partners with whom we have already worked. It was also an opportunity to meet new people, and discuss with the DCMS, Open Data Institute, British Library, Alan Turing Institute, Royal Society, INRA, French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Thomson Reuters, and many more.
The date is already set for next year, with the event to be held in France!
